SENIOR SUITE
“all decisions have been made.”
Along 9 movements, one performer experiences death and respawning, as a way of navigating through a simulation of her own life.
Senior Suite is a speculative videogame environment, an explorative space for one performer, that embodies life experiences as well as dystopian, ritualistic based worlds within itself. It questions the idea of life as a fixed timeline, in which decisions are supposedly final and have an influence on everything that follows. The work is thought as a videogame, in which death does not mean the end of the game but a new start at a predefined point.
The performance is a reflection of the vulnerable status quo as well as a projection surface for concepts of immortality, life after death and the life after death and the gamification of our reality.
Senior Suite stands for the musical form, the most expensive room in a hotel and a company for nursing homes in Chile. It looks for correlations between a videogame level and the movements of a musical suite. Each chapter represents different states and levels of interactivity between the performer and her surroundings.

The rules of a finite game do not constitute a script
